they didn't write to me!
but they DID write to my well-meaning, meddling aunt who sent them this message and copied the blog post, which means they got the same message twice:
Dear Cake,
My niece loves you. She wrote about you on her blog. She seems to miss you on tour almost every time you come here. I thought you might like her blog entry about you.

Darn! That didn't work out too well for her. Maybe we'll play in Zurich some time soon.
Those were nice words she wrote. Tell her we appreciated them.

so, while i nearly passed out from excitement that they responded, i was annoyed that they didn't respond to MY plea! "TELL HER we appreciated them." tell me yourself, dumb CAKE!!! (aimee, please don't send them that)
but i am holding them to zurich. maybe by the time they come, my feelings won't be so hurt.

I'm sorry CAKE didn't respond to you personally. That sucks. But, hey! Pretty cool that they wrote Aimee. I heart Aimee. You know what's funny? I don't know you. But I do know Aimee. But, I'm writing you and NOT Aimee. Hmmm...
hate to say it but maybe by the time they come you'll be headed back to Utah.
